Findings suggestive of large bowel obstruction due to Sigmoid Volvulus :-<\/p>\n

Large gas filled bean shaped, closed loop of large bowel with loss of haustral with apex pointing toward the left lower quadrant of the abdomen associated marked twisting of mesenteric vessels (Whirl sign), also demonstrating X-marks-the-spot sign by crossing loops of bowel at the site of the transition.<\/p>\n

Dilated caecum , ascending colon, transverse colon with abundant fecal material. No evidence of small bowel dilatation<\/p>\n

Trace free fluid in lower abdomen.
