Findings suggestive of marked recto sigmoid colitis associated with distal ileitis – likely related to inflammatory bowel disease with skip lesions such as Crohn’s disease.
Differential considerations also include:- tuberculosis.
Multiple dilated small bowel loops with multiple air fluid levels demonstrating apparent transition point at the level of distal ileum in the right lower quadrant – suggestive of low grade distal small bowel obstruction versus ileus.
Markedly thickened appendix with wall enhancement and periappendiceal fat stranding – suggestive of appendiceal involvement by the inflammatory bowel disease.
