ovarian torsion

Enlarged , edematous left ovary in the pouch of Douglas, demonstrating peripherally displaced follicles, small hemorrhagic foci, displacing the uterus anteriorly associated with a thick twisted pedicle arising from the left lateral wall and extending toward the left lateral wall of uterus – represents left ovarian torsion.

Trace free fluid in the cul-de-sac. No evidence of associated mass lesion.
