MELANOMA METASTASIS

Multifocal altered signal intensity heterogeneously enhancing mass lesions of varying sizes and signal intensities involving the right inferior temporal lobe, left temporal lobe, right frontal lobe, bilateral cerebellum which are predominantly hyperintense on T1Wt images, hypointense on T2 with blooming on GRE sequences as described above –of concern for ‘Melanoma metastasis’ versus hemorrhagic metastasis.

A tiny nodular enhancing metastatic lesion involving the intracranial portion of the left optic nerve.

Mild communicating hydrocephalus with mild leptomeningeal enhancement.

No evidence of significant mass effect or mid line shift.

Recommend clinical correlation to rule out melanotic lesions, PET scan, follow up.
