acute sciatic neuropathy of indeterminate etiology.

Long segment thickening of the right sciatic nerve from the level of greater sciatic notch, up to the proximal thigh level demonstrating high STIR, T2 signal intensity (the inferior extent is not imaged in the study) –suggestive of acute sciatic neuropathy of indeterminate etiology.

Bilateral piriformis, gluteal muscles appear unremarkable with normal signal intensities.

No MRI evidence of denervation to the extent visualized.
