Bifid median nerve with persistent median artery

MRI wrist study is essentially normal.

Suspicious bifid median nerve is noted with evidence of persistent median artery between the two bundles (evaluation is limited due to lack of T1, T2 axial sequences) with slight volar bowing of the flexor retinaculum at this level – Recommend axial T1, T2 thin sequences

Recommend clinical correlation in view of carpal tunnel syndrome , contra lateral wrist MRI
