Left brachial plexus nerve root avulsions with acute denervation edema of left rotator cuff muscles

Small CSF intensity cystic spaces involving the medial aspect of left C6-C7, C7-T1, T1-T2, T2-T3 neural foramina with featureless appearance at neural foramina, suggestive of pseudomeningocele formation related to nerve root avulsions ( grade IV to V preganglionic injury of the left C7, C8, T1 and T2 nerve roots).

The right brachial plexus demonstrates increased STIR signal intensity along the C6, C7, C8 nerve roots, trunks up to the level of clavicle – suggestive of grade II to III right brachial plexus injury.

Incidentally noted left glenohumeral joint effusion with periarticular muscle edema predominantly involving the rotator cuff muscles suggestive of acute denervation edema
