POSTEROLATERAL CORNER INJURY

  • Wedge shaped fractures involving both medial as well as lateral tibial plateaus communicating with articular margins. 
  • A small partial thickness tear involving the posterolateral bundle of anterior cruciate ligament at tibial attachment
  • Grade II sprain of posterior cruciate ligament at tibial attachment
  • Posterolateral corner injury:-
  • Grade I sprain of lateral collateral ligament.
  • Findings suggestive of popliteus tendon tear with muscle edema
  • Deformed retracted popliteofibular ligament suggestive of
  • Findings suggestive of plantaris muscle
  • Marked joint effusion (lipohemarthrosis) with Posterolateral capsular injury
