Semimembarnosus tendon tear ( Distal vertical band tear)

Tiny partial thickness cartilage defects at weight bearing aspect of medial femoral condyle with subtle small subchondral bone marrow edema at medial tibial plateau

• Grade III radial medial meniscal tear at the posterior root with slight meniscal subluxation.

• Mild to moderate joint effusion

• Findings suggestive of ‘grade III tear of distal vertical band of semimembranosus tendon’ at the tibial attachment with focal surrounding fluid collection involving the pes anserinus bursa (the proximal horizontal band is spared).
