Marked low attenuation circumferential smooth wall thickening of origins of great vessels from the aortic arch, predominantly the brachiocephalic trunk, bilateral common carotid arteries, the origin of right subclavian artery causing long segment luminal narrowing of bilateral common carotid arteries with up to 70 to 90% luminal diameter reduction on the left and 70 to 100% luminal diameter reduction on the right –*suggestive of idiopathic large vessel vasculitis , likely Takayasu arteritis (type I)*.
Symmetric narrowing of bilateral CCA bifurcation ECA and ICA at the proximal cervical levels. (distal parts of cervical ECA and ICA are not imaged in the study).
