Well defined, focal, ovoid altered signal intensities involving bilateral globus pallidii of the lentiform nuclei (predominantly hypointense on T2Wt sequences at the periphery with blooming on GRE, containing small central areas of T2 hyperintensity – (eye of the tiger sign) associated with tiny blooming on GRE in bilateral substantia nigra regions of the midbrain –suggestive of a neuro degenerative disorder , likely Pantothenate kinase-associated neurodegeneration (PKAN / Hallervorden-Spatz syndrome).
